What can I offer you? I aim to give you what I myself find helpful when I go to see a counsellor, that is, talking things through with someone who both pays careful, kindly attention to what I'm experiencing and who encourages me to look again. Many of the clients I've worked with appreciate the time, space and opportunity to really feel and listen to the different sides of themselves, and get a fresh perspective on what's happening: to step back from whatever seems so difficult to deal with, and find resources within themselves to be more creative and effective.
What is crucial to this process is the personal 'chemistry' between us: building trust and rapport so that we can meet each other fully. I've been counselling for five years. I'm currently employed to provide counselling within the NHS, and volunteer with two counselling agencies that give low cost provision. I'm currently training as a Focusing Practitoner, and for a Certificate in Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Session details
I can offer short or long term counselling as required for anyone from age 16. I will meet with you for an hour's duration and on a 1:1 basis. I am able to offer appointments during the day or evening and there may be some availability at the weekend. Depending on your circumstances, I work to a sliding scale of £30-£50 per session. Concessions may be available. I see my clients at my home in Moseley (I'm sorry I don't have wheel-chair access). I can provide a visitor's permit for parking in the street. Nearest Train Station: Birmingham New St. & Moor St. with easy bus connections (15 mins). Nearest Bus Stops (200 yds): Moseley Village for No. 50, No.35, No.1, No. 885, No. 899.
