Pink Therapy
The UK's largest independent therapy organisation that deals with gender and sexual minority individuals. Consisting of 11 associate therapists, they also offer a directory of counsellors who are sexuality affirmative, taking a positive approach to sexual and gender variations. They are the first online directory of Pink therapists in the UK.
Women's Aid
Run in partnership with Refuge, Women's Aid is a national charity that works to eliminate abuse and violence against women. They provide support to over 500 anti-violence services across the UK and offer a free 24 hour domestic violence helpline on 0808 2000 247. Any contact made is totally confidential.
Napac
The National Association for People Abused in Childhood. A registered charity that provides support and resources for people
who experienced abuse during their childhood. They also have a helpline manned
by volunteer counsellors: 0800 085 3330
Samaritans
Samaritans is available 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.
Rethink
Rethink, the leading national mental health membership charity, works to help everyone affected by severe mental illness recover a better quality of life. Our aim is to make a practical and positive difference by providing hope and empowerment through effective services, information and support to all those who need us.
Lone Parents
A website that provides a meeting place for single mums and dads. The site offers support and advice, as well as the chance for single parents to meet others in similar situations. In existence for eight years, it has a membership of over 2500 people.
